J.M. Berger is an internationally recognized expert on extremism and terrorism. He is the author of three nonfiction books:

Berger has contributed to publications such as The Atlantic, Politico, and The Boston Globe. He holds the position of senior research fellow for the Center on Terrorism, Extremism, and Counterterrorism (CTEC) at the Middlebury Institute of International Studies and serves on the editorial board of Terrorism and Political Violence. In addition to his writing, he enjoys spending time in nature, particularly with trees and water.
