Alan Carr

Alan Carr is one of Britain’s most successful and treasured comedians. His unique humour and effortless stage presence have earned him a catalogue of awards, including:

The success of his chat show, ‘Alan Carr: Chatty Man’, led to Channel 4 commissioning 16 further series, along with numerous Christmas Specials and New Year Specstaculars. The 100th episode aired in September 2013 with guests including Justin Timberlake and Rihanna. Past guests have included an array of global stars such as Lady Gaga, Britney Spears, Cameron Diaz, Adele, and many more.

The DVD of Alan’s 2007 debut stand-up show, ‘Tooth Fairy Live’, topped the HMV charts and was a Christmas bestseller.

His best-selling debut autobiography, ‘Look Who It Is’, was published in September 2008.

In 2011, Alan embarked on his second live arena tour, ‘Spexy Beast Live’, which culminated in a successful DVD release. Throughout 2015, he toured the UK and Ireland with his ‘Yap, Yap, Yap!’ live show, performing at over 150 sold-out theatres. His third stand-up DVD, ‘Alan Carr - Yap Yap Yap! Live’, was released in November 2016.

In 2016, Alan took his ‘Yap Yap Yap!’ show global, performing internationally in Scandinavia, Montreal at the Just For Laughs Comedy Festival, and touring New Zealand and Australia, including two shows at the Sydney Opera House.

Alan also hosts Channel 4’s flagship fundraising show, ‘Stand Up To Cancer’, which in 2014 raised over £14 million for Cancer Research. He returned to host the show again in October 2016.

Alan’s second memoir, ‘Alanatomy: The Inside Story’, was published in October 2016.
