About The Author
Alyson Gurney
Alyson Gurney is a Washington D.C.-based artist, aged 23, who is the creative force behind Little Felted Friends. She handmakes miniature felted replicas of animals, which have garnered a significant following on Instagram.
Gurney’s passion for felting began when she sculpted a tiny version of her own dog, Drift. This personal project soon expanded to creating felted animals for friends, and her subsequent online postings led to her account going viral. What started as a hobby quickly evolved into a full-time career.
Her clientele includes notable personalities such as Kelly Clarkson, Paris Hilton, and Michael Strahan. Gurney’s work has also been featured in various media outlets, including The Kelly Clarkson Show, Bored Panda, The Daily Mail, and FOX News.
Gurney is a graduate of The Savannah College of Art and Design.
