About The Author

Andy McNab

Andy McNab has led an extraordinary life, starting from the day he was found in a carrier bag on the steps of Guy’s Hospital in London.

As a teenager, he was a delinquent, but as a young soldier, he fought against the IRA in South Armagh. As a member of 22 SAS for nine years, he was at the center of covert operations on five continents. During the Gulf War, he commanded Bravo Two Zero, a patrol that his commanding officer said ‘will remain in regimental history for ever’.

Awarded both the Distinguished Conduct Medal (DCM) and Military Medal (MM), McNab was the British Army’s most highly decorated serving soldier when he left the SAS.

Since then, he has become a bestselling writer, drawing on his knowledge and experience. He is the author of non-fiction bestsellers including Bravo Two Zero, and the Nick Stone and Tom Buckingham thrillers, as well as books for children.

Besides writing, he lectures to security and intelligence agencies in the USA and UK, and advises Hollywood on covert procedure and training actors to act like soldiers. He is also a spokesperson and fundraiser for military and literacy charities.
