About The Author

Beverly Peace

Beverly Peace is a Brooklyn-born author whose storytelling is deeply shaped by more than three decades of life in Georgia, where she has observed the richness, complexity, and contradictions of Southern life. A lifelong observer of people and the complexities that shape their lives, she draws inspiration from the history, trauma, resilience, and joy she has witnessed in the South.

Her writing explores the complicated forces that influence who we become—family, race, circumstance, secrets, and the experiences passed from one generation to the next. In The Loudest Whisper, Peace turns her attention to the impact of mental illness across generations of one family, weaving their deeply personal struggles into the larger social and racial changes taking place around them.

Peace is also the author of The Sunset Rule, a Southern supernatural novel set in 1950s Georgia that explores racism, guilt, consequences, and redemption.

Through her fiction, Beverly Peace seeks to tell stories that linger with readers long after the final page—stories about imperfect people confronting circumstances that test their humanity.
