Brian Michael Bendis
Brian Michael Bendis is an award-winning comic-book creator and one of the most successful writers in the industry. He is acclaimed for his work on Daredevil, revitalizing Marvel’s Avengers franchise, and writing major event projects such as House of M, Secret War, Secret Invasion, Siege, Age of Ultron, and Civil War II.
Bendis wrote every issue of Ultimate Spider-Man from its debut in 2000, later introducing the multiracial Spider-Man, Miles Morales, to the Marvel Universe. He also significantly contributed to Marvel’s mutant titles with All-New X-Men and Uncanny X-Men, and relaunched Guardians of the Galaxy. His work on Invincible Iron Man introduced Riri Williams as Ironheart, and he assembled street-level heroes in Defenders.
His creator-owned projects include Scarlet (with Alex Maleev), Brilliant (with Mark Bagley), and Takio. He also co-created the Eisner Award-winning series Powers with Michael Avon Oeming.
Sara Pichelli began her career in animation as a storyboard artist and character designer before transitioning to comics. After establishing herself in Italy, she worked as a layout assistant for David Messina on Star Trek for IDW.
In 2008, Pichelli was a winner of the ChesterQuest International Talent Search. She has since contributed to Marvel Comics titles such as NYX, Runaways, Eternals, X-Men: Pixie Strikes Back, and Namora.
Pichelli joined writer Brian Michael Bendis on Ultimate Spider-Man, where they co-created Miles Morales, introducing him in Ultimate Fallout and Ultimate Comics Spider-Man. They continued Miles’ story in Spider-Man and featured him alongside Peter Parker in Spider-Men and Spider-Men II. Pichelli also reunited with Bendis on Guardians of the Galaxy.
