Brian Michael Bendis
Brian Michael Bendis is an award-winning comic-book creator and one of the most successful writers in the industry. He is known for his acclaimed run on Daredevil, revitalizing the Avengers franchise, and writing major event projects such as House of M, Secret War, Secret Invasion, Siege, Age of Ultron, and Civil War II.
Bendis wrote every issue of Ultimate Spider-Man from its inception in 2000, introducing the multiracial Miles Morales to the Marvel Universe. He also tackled Marvel’s mutants in All-New X-Men and Uncanny X-Men, launched Guardians of the Galaxy, and reshaped the stories of Tony Stark in Invincible Iron Man, introducing Riri Williams as Ironheart. He assembled street-level heroes Luke Cage, Iron Fist, Daredevil, and his co-creation Jessica Jones in Defenders.
His creator-owned projects include Scarlet with Alex Maleev, Brilliant with Mark Bagley, and Takio, as well as the Eisner Award-winning Powers with Michael Avon Oeming.
Mark Bagley rose to prominence as the artist of the 1990s hit New Warriors, earning his place at Marvel on the strength of his Official Marvel Tryout penciling submission. He followed this with an acclaimed run on Amazing Spider-Man and collaborated with writer Kurt Busiek on Thunderbolts.
Bagley and Brian Michael Bendis launched Marvel’s Ultimate line with Ultimate Spider-Man, a collaboration that became the longest-running creative team in Marvel history. Bendis and Bagley have since reunited on Avengers Assemble and the creator-owned Brilliant. His subsequent credits include Fantastic Four, Cataclysm: The Ultimates’ Last Stand, Hulk, All-New X-Men, and Venom.
