About The Author
Bruce Carter
Bruce Carter, whose real name was Richard Hough, was born in 1922 in Brighton. He grew up in Brighton and loved the city all his life. After school he joined the RAF and fought in the Second World War. Throughout his life, he wrote many books for both adults and children. His daughter, who followed in his footsteps, is the well-known writer Deborah Moggach.
