She holds a PhD in Neuroscience and is currently the Chair of the Neuro Intensive Care section of the ESICM. Her research interests include Neuromonitoring, autoregulation, and mechanical ventilation.

  • Gisele Gusmão de Paula: Professor of Neurology at the Federal University of São Paulo and Head of Neurology Clinical Research at the Albert Einstein Hospital, São Paulo, Brazil. She holds a medical degree, a doctorate in Neurology, a specialization in Cerebrovascular Diseases and Neurointensive Care from Harvard University/Massachusetts General Hospital, and a master’s degree in public health from Harvard School of Public Health. Dr. Gusmão de Paula has been a principal investigator for numerous clinical trials in Brazil and has held leadership positions in national and international neurological societies.

  • Aarti Sarwal: Neurologist and Medical Director of the Neurocritical Care Unit at Wake Forest Baptist Health Center, Winston-Salem, USA. She specializes in emergency and trauma care, with expertise in neurocritical care for critically ill patients with neurological injuries.
