Chris Riddell
Chris Riddell is an accomplished artist and the political cartoonist for the Observer. He served as the UK Children’s Laureate from 2015 to 2017 and has received significant acclaim for his children’s books.
His work has been recognized with several major awards, including the CILIP Kate Greenaway Medal in 2001, 2004, and 2016. His book Goth Girl and the Ghost of a Mouse won the Costa Children’s Book Award in 2013.
For Macmillan, he has illustrated the bestselling Ottoline series, The Emperor of Absurdia, and, in collaboration with Paul Stewart, the Muddle Earth books, the Scavenger series, and the Blobheads series.
Chris Riddell has been honored with an OBE for his contributions to illustration and his charitable endeavors. He resides in Brighton with his family.
