Critics Review

Non-technical, readable and accessible. * Evangelicals Now *
Here is a commentary to make the heart sing! Christopher Moore guides the reader through Mark’s Gospel with clarity, insight and pastoral warmth. I especially appreciated the theological depth of Moore’s analysis, which consistently points us to the beauty and glory of Jesus Christ. – The Rev’d Dr Mark Smith, Dean, Fellow, Director of Studies and Tutor in Theology at Clare College, Cambridge
Chris is one of those ministers who can bring the world of the academy in the everyday life of the church. In the stress of lockdown his daily reflections were a lifeline to his congregation. This commentary brings together that pastoral heart, academic vigour and sheer practical application to open up the text for us in rich and fruitful ways. Here is a Biblical study with the goal of discipleship and a missional heart to make Jesus known. I heartily recommend it. – The Rt. Revd Richard Jackson, Bishop of Hereford
