Cliff Goodwin
Cliff Goodwin is the author of four best-selling biographies, including one about Sid James. His other works include To Be A Lady: The Story of Catherine Cookson, When the Wind Changed: The Life and Death of Tony Hancock, and Evil Spirits: The Life of Oliver Reed.
Born in London in 1950, Goodwin was educated in Slough, Berkshire. He began his career in journalism in 1968 as a trainee at the town’s weekly newspaper. Over the next 25 years, he worked in various media, including newspapers, magazines, public relations, and local radio. His reporting on the 1988 Lockerbie air crash received a regional press award. In 1993, Goodwin transitioned to full-time writing and currently resides in the north-east of England.
