About The Author

Connie Cao

Connie Cao is a Melbourne-based urban permaculture gardener, homesteader, photographer, and digital content creator. In her backyard, she cultivates a garden brimming with vegetables, fruits, berries, cut flowers, and beneficial plants. She champions the idea that any space, regardless of size, can become a garden and encourages others to embrace the beautiful imperfection of nature. Her focus lies in developing productive, aesthetically pleasing, and sustainable gardens that are well-suited for smaller spaces.

Connie has furthered her passion for gardening by obtaining a Diploma of Sustainable Living and a Permaculture Design Certificate. This academic pursuit follows her earlier completion of a Bachelor of Laws (with Honours) and a Bachelor of Commerce (Marketing).

Beyond her garden, Connie can often be found immersed in gardening literature, preparing and preserving food from her harvest, or exploring the gardens of others. For Connie, the journey of gardening is a continuous process, and she delights in documenting and sharing her experiences with the wider community.
