Craig Deayton
Craig Deayton is a history teacher with a longstanding interest in Australia’s military history. He has worked in education for more than thirty years as a teacher and College Principal, and is currently Principal Lead with Catholic Education in Hobart. He holds a Bachelor of History and a Master of Educational Administration.
He is the author of Battle Scarred and The Battle for Messines. The Battle for Messines was published as part of the Australian Army History Unit’s Campaigns Series. His writing focuses on bringing Australia’s wartime experience to life through clear narrative and careful research.
This is his third book. Craig lives in Hobart with his wife Tracey and their children Patrick, Dominic, Michael and Annie.
