Daniele Pelliccia
Daniele Pelliccia
Daniele Pelliccia is an experimental physicist and entrepreneur. He holds a master’s degree in quantum optics and quantum information and completed his PhD research in x-ray optics and imaging. Daniele has worked as a staff scientist at synchrotron beamlines in Germany and Australia. During his academic career, he was awarded a DECRA fellowship in Australia for his work on developing novel x-ray microscopy techniques.
Since 2017, Daniele has been a full-time entrepreneur. He founded Instruments & Data Tools, a company that offers modeling and analytics services to various industries. In 2018, he established Rubens Technologies, which commercializes portable spectroscopy sensors designed for assessing fruit quality.
David M. Paganin
David M. Paganin is a theoretical physicist with broad research interests in optical physics. He earned his PhD in 1999. David has been associated with Monash University since 2002, initially as a lecturer and more recently as an adjunct researcher within the School of Physics and Astronomy. He is the author of the book Coherent X-ray Optics (OUP 2006) and is a co-inventor of several coherent imaging techniques that are now widely used in x-ray synchrotron science, visible-light microscopy, and electron microscopy.
