David Mura is a poet, nonfiction writer, critic, playwright and performance artist. Mura’s two previous poetry collections, The Colors of Desire (Carl Sandburg Literary Award winner), and, After We Lost Our Way (National Poetry Series Contest winner). His numerous awards include a Lila Wallace-Readers Digest Writers’ Award, two NEA Fellowships, two Bush Foundation Fellowships, four Loft-McKnight Awards, and a Discovery/The Nation Award.
