Dean Clarrain
Stephen Murphy is an American comic book writer and editor recognized for his contributions to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles series. He co-created the independent comic The Puma Blues with Michael Zulli.
Murphy, alongside Ryan Brown, revamped the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Adventures title for Archie Comics, starting with issue #5 in 1989. Under their direction, the comic moved away from the animated series, introducing original storylines that explored social issues, environmentalism, and animal rights. This era also saw the introduction of diverse characters and the formation of the team known as the Mighty Mutanimals.
During this period, Murphy, often writing under the pseudonym Dean Clarrain, co-created the characters Jagwar, Nova Posse, Snake-Eyes, and Sarnath.
