Dolores Cannon
Dolores Cannon, a renowned regressive hypnotherapist and psychic researcher, was born in 1931 in St. Louis, Missouri. She spent her early years in St. Louis until her marriage in 1951 to a career Navy officer. For the next twenty years, she traveled extensively with her family as a Navy wife.
In 1970, following her husband’s discharge as a disabled veteran, they settled in Arkansas. It was during this period that Dolores embarked on her writing career, contributing articles to various magazines and newspapers. Her involvement with hypnosis began in 1968, and by 1979, she was exclusively focused on past-life therapy and regression work. Through her extensive study of different hypnosis methods, she developed her own unique technique, the Quantum Healing Hypnosis Technique (QHHT), designed to efficiently elicit information from clients. She taught QHHT globally.
In 1986, Dolores expanded her research into the UFO field, conducting on-site investigations of suspected UFO landing sites and studying crop circles in England. A significant portion of her work in this area involved gathering evidence from individuals who believed they were abductees through hypnotic regression.
Dolores was a prolific international speaker, lecturing on all continents. Her twenty-one books have been translated into over twenty languages, and she appeared on radio and television programs worldwide. Articles about and by Dolores were featured in numerous US and international publications. She was honored as the first American and the first foreigner to receive the “Orpheus Award” in Bulgaria for her significant contributions to psychic research. She also received Outstanding Contribution and Lifetime Achievement awards from several hypnosis organizations.
Dolores was supported by a large family, which helped her maintain a balance between her personal life and her profound work in exploring the unseen.
Dolores Cannon passed away on October 18, 2014. She left behind a legacy of significant accomplishments in alternative healing, hypnosis, metaphysics, and past-life regression. Her most profound contribution was her dedication to sharing knowledge, believing that revealing hidden or undiscovered information was vital for humanity’s enlightenment and understanding of its purpose on Earth. Her books, lectures, and the QHHT method continue to inspire, guide, and inform people globally, inviting them to join her on journeys into the unknown.
