Critics Review
Eleanor is annoyingly clever & maddeningly funny as this book proves. She may have to be destroyed. – Dawn French
Eleanor knows loads about history, and she’s really funny, so I consider her an existential threat to my career. I will not rest until this fantastic book is banned! – Greg Jenner, public historian, host & creator of You’re Dead To Me
‘Eleanor’s writing is as amusing as it is informative, like a funny squirrel that teaches you about institutional sexism.’ – Alasdair Beckett King
‘For a stupid-head like me this is PERFECT. It’s so accessible, you can dip in and out and it’ll give you lots of great stuff you can say to friends and pass off as knowledge you picked up in the way a smart person would.’
– Sooz Kempner‘A wickedly funny and informative whistle-stop tour of women’s history.’ – Michael Fry
‘Morton uses humour to offset her indignation at the way women have been treated in history.’ * Scotsman *
‘Packing the book with humour.’ – The Sunday Post
