From the individual indexes of the volumes of the Protestant Church Orders of the 16th Century published over a period of 115 years, a comprehensive index was created as part of a digitization project. The compilation of this index focused on merging the individual indexes, which varied greatly due to numerous temporal interruptions and changes in editors and publishers, in terms of content and format. The standardization of terminology and the subdivision into thematic units significantly facilitate research in the source genre of Protestant church-regulating texts and for comparative analysis of individual subject areas.
