Critics Review
Deerheart is a masterclass in modern mythmaking… Both reluctant readers and fantasy fans will be spellbound from the first page. This tale highlights that we are deeply connected to, and only temporary guardians of, the world around us, just like Deerheart and her sisters. Deerheart shows us that the most powerful magic of all is the courage to listen to the truth we find within our hearts. – Michelle Dunne * Inis *
Eoin Colfer
Eoin Colfer (pronounced “Owen”) has written several bestselling children’s novels, including the Artemis Fowl series, which has been translated into forty-two languages and won several international awards. Eoin has always had a strong sense of fairness, and in response to Article 24 he wrote his story about the injustice of a child whose youth is cut short through no fault of his own. He also wanted to show that bad things can happen close to home as well as far away. He lives in Ireland.
P.J. Lynch has won many awards, including the Mother Goose Award, the Christopher Medal three times, the Irish Bisto Book of the Year Award, and the prestigious Kate Greenaway Medal twice – first for The Christmas Miracle of Jonathan Toomey by Susan Wojciechowski and again for When Jessie Came Across the Sea by Amy Hest. P.J. Lynch was Irish Children’s Laureate and has been commissioned to design posters for Opera Ireland and the Abbey Theatre, as well as designing stamps for An Post. He lives in Ireland.
