About The Author
Gammage, Bill
Bill Gammage is a Senior Research Fellow at the Australian National University. He previously taught history at the universities of Papua New Guinea and Adelaide. He is a Fellow of the Academy of Social Sciences and Deputy Chair of the National Museum of Australia. Gammage edited Australians- A Bicentennial History and is the author of The Broken Years, an acclaimed history of Australian soldiers in the Great War.
