Gary Baseman
Gary Baseman is an interdisciplinary artist who investigates history, heritage, and the human condition. Through unique iconography and fantastical visual narratives, his work brings together the worlds of popular culture and fine art. Known for his raw style and humor, he is the Creator and Executive Producer of the multi-Emmy and BAFTA award-winning animated series and feature film Teacher’s Pet (ABC/Disney).
His art has appeared in international publications and best-selling games and toys. His broad-reaching collaborations in fashion and music include COACH, Lladro, Bershka, Dr. Martens and All Tomorrow’s Party and AEG.
Born and based in Los Angeles, his fine art has been exhibited in museums and galleries throughout Asia, Australasia, Europe, North America and South America. He is a frequent speaker at international conferences on graphic and multidisciplinary arts and visual communications.
