About The Author
Gina Day
Dr. Powers is a neuroscientist specializing in the visual system. She received her education at the University of California, Berkeley, the University of Michigan, and the University of Washington. She is currently a Professor of Psychology at Vanderbilt University, having previously moved to California in 2000 to focus on eye teaming.
Dr. Day is an optometrist with a specialization in visual function, particularly in children. She is an alumna of the University of California, Berkeley, and holds a Doctor of Optometry degree from the Southern College of Optometry. She also served in the United States Air Force Reserves.
