Glenda Armand
Glenda Armand is a former teacher and school librarian who now dedicates her time to writing historical fiction and picture-book biographies. Her published works include All Aboard the Schooltrain, Black-Eyed Peas and Hoghead Cheese, and Down on the Bayou. She also co-authored the Texas Bluebonnet Award-winning book Ice Cream Man: How Augustus Jackson Made a Sweet Treat Better with Kim Freeman. Born in New Orleans, Glenda grew up in Los Angeles, enjoying seafood gumbo with a side of potato salad.
Alleanna Harris is a children’s book illustrator and artist from southern New Jersey. She has illustrated picture books such as Good Things, Patricia’s Vision, and Opening the Road: Victor Hugo Green and His Green Book. Having drawn since childhood, Alleanna began illustrating children’s books after graduating from the University of the Arts. She uses her platform to inspire readers through storytelling, aiming to create immersive, colorful, and warm images in her work.
