What They're Saying

Critics Review

Graham Jones (author of Last Shop Standing) releases a new coffee table book on Monday 29th July. ‘Strange Requests and Comic Tales from Record Shops’ recount Graham’s best anecdotes from over 30 years experience in music sales. The anecdotes come from people who have been often pleased and sometimes bemused to find themselves stationed behind the record shop counter and is illustrated by Guardian and Sunday Times cartoonist Kipper Williams Paul Weller

About The Author

Graham Jones

Graham Jones is the author of the best-selling and widely acclaimed Last Shop Standing, the definitive account of the demise of Britain’s independent record shops. Graham’s book has since inspired a much admired documentary film of the same name that features many well-known musicians - including Paul Weller, Johnny Marr and Billy Bragg - as well as many record shop proprietors. Kipper Williams draws for The Guardian, the Sunday Times and the Spectator and exhibits and sells his original artwork at the Chris Beetles Gallery in London.
