Greg Elliott

Author Biographies

Greg Elliott Greg is Dean of Australian National Institute of Management and Commerce (IMC). Previously, he was Professor of Business (Marketing) at Macquarie University and before that, Professor of Management at the Macquarie Graduate School of Management. Greg has extensive experience teaching marketing and managing courses in South-East Asia, as well as advising higher education institutions. He has held academic appointments at the University of Technology, Sydney, the University of Western Australia, and the University of Melbourne, and visiting appointments at Trinity College and University College in Dublin, Ireland. His research interests include services marketing, marketing education, and international and tourism marketing. Prior to his academic career, Greg worked in marketing research and planning in the banking industry for over a decade.

Professor Sharyn Rundle-Thiele Sharyn is a social marketer and behavioural scientist, and the Founding Director of Social Marketing @ Griffith. She is also Founding Co-Editor of the Journal of Social Marketing. Sharyn has led projects that have successfully changed behaviors for large numbers of people in areas such as health, the environment, and complex social issues. Her work has contributed to increased healthy eating, altered adolescent attitudes to alcohol, reduced food waste, and improved outcomes for wildlife conservation.

David Waller David is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Marketing at the University of Technology Sydney. He holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Sydney, a Master of Commerce from the University of New South Wales, and a PhD from the University of Newcastle, Australia. With over 20 years of teaching experience in marketing at various universities, including the University of Newcastle, the University of New South Wales, and Charles Sturt University, he has also taught offshore programs in Malaysia and China. David’s prior career was in the film and banking industries. His research focuses on marketing communications, advertising agency-client relationships, controversial advertising, international advertising, marketing ethics, and marketing education. He has published extensively in leading academic journals and authored or co-authored several books and workbooks used in the Asia-Pacific region.

Edward Bentrott Edward is a lecturer in the Marketing Discipline Group at the University of Technology Sydney (UTS), a position he has held since 2010. He earned a Bachelor of Arts from UC Berkeley, a Master’s degree in economics from the University of Iowa, and a PhD from UTS. Edward possesses over 15 years of commercial experience in the analytics and data science industry, preceded by five years in electronics manufacturing, focusing on production and quality assurance statistics. He remains active in the analytics field, conducting predictive modeling seminars for corporate clients and developing data literacy courses used globally. His research utilizes data science methods to enhance the accuracy of traditional marketing models, particularly by improving discrete choice models with unobserved heterogeneity, missing data, unknown data interactions, and large amounts of unstructured text and image data.

Siobhan Hatton-Jones Siobhan is an Associate Lecturer in the School of Marketing at Curtin University, with a strong focus on small business. She has experience teaching undergraduate and postgraduate units, including MBA and Luxury Masters programs, and is currently leading the development of Executive Education programs for marketing in regional Western Australia. Siobhan has contributed to numerous research consultancy projects for Australian brands, employing biometric methodologies and advanced facilities. Her current research interests lie in cross-disciplinary and behavioral change initiatives within the Australia Pacific region. She has published in reputable journals, presented at international conferences, and actively contributes to the academic community through organizing committees, visiting scholar roles, and journal reviews.

Pete Jeans Pete is Chief Operating Officer at SMO and a facilitator at the Australian Institute of Management MBA School of Business. He also lectures, tutors, and mentors for the School of Management and Marketing at Charles Sturt University. Pete is Head of Ideas at IDEAgenda, a company that addresses complex business challenges. For 28 years, he has been instrumental in driving profitable growth for clients through sustainable strategy, innovation, and market positioning. Pete has held senior management roles in multinational and Australian organizations. In 1992, he founded SMO, a pioneering firm in outsourcing strategic growth services.

Stephanie Joshua Anandappa Stephanie has dedicated over 15 years to academia and manages her own SME export business, primarily serving the South and South-East Asian markets. Marketing is central to both her business and teaching endeavors. Stephanie has taught various marketing subjects and developed curricula for educational institutions. She currently serves as the Unit Leader for first-year Marketing at Monash College. As a marketing consultant, she offers expertise in marketing plans, branding, digital marketing, and strategies to enhance client retention.

Pauline Campbell Pauline is an accomplished practitioner and academic with extensive experience in high-level marketing management, new product and brand development, trade marketing, events and sponsorship, communications, and team leadership. She has worked with prominent market-leading companies in Australia, particularly in the liquor and FMCG sectors, including brands such as Woolworths, Fosters, Warner Bros., British American Tobacco, Bacardi, Smirnoff, Johnnie Walker, Guinness, Bundaberg Rum, and Jack Daniels. Pauline has also founded her own consultancy business. As an academic, she has over 11 years of experience in tertiary and vocational education across various Australian institutions, and more recently joined Coventry University in the UK as a Senior Teaching Fellow. She holds a Master of Marketing (Distinction), a Bachelor of Arts (Communication), and a Graduate Certificate in University Learning and Teaching (with academic excellence), and is a Certified Practising Marketer. Pauline is a passionate educator and her work on the use of technology in teaching and learning was recognized as the best presentation at an international conference in 2019.
