Guillaume 'Run' Renard
Guillaume “Run” Renard is an accomplished animator, director, and writer whose work features a modern approach to animation. In his films, Renard focuses on social outcasts and incorporates contemporary themes such as terrorism, the quest for identity, ecological issues, and the temptation of radicalization for young people.
His first animated short, Mutafukaz: Operation Blackhead (2003), selected at Sundance, launched his Mutafukaz universe. His debut feature film, Mutafukaz (2017), co-directed with Nishimi Shojiro, premiered at the Annecy International Animation Festival and was later released on Netflix in the United States as MFKZ.
