Guillaume 'Run' Renard
Guillaume “Run” Renard is an accomplished animator, director, and writer whose work offers a modern approach to animation. His films focus on social outcasts, exploring contemporary themes such as terrorism, the quest for identity, ecological issues, and the temptation of radicalization for young people.
Renard’s career began with his animated short, Mutafukaz: Operation Blackhead (2003), which was selected for the Sundance Film Festival and marked the inception of his Mutafukaz universe. His debut feature film, Mutafukaz (2017), co-directed with Nishimi Shojiro, premiered at the Annecy International Animation Festival and was later released on Netflix in the United States under the title MFKZ.
