Gustavo Gutiérrez, OP, a native of Peru, was educated in Lima, Chile, and at the Catholic University of Louvain. Professor emeritus of theology, University of Notre Dame, he has served as a principal professor, Pontifical University of Peru, and has taught at many universities throughout North America and Europe.
