About The Author
Hamza Yassin
Hamza Yassin is a Scottish wildlife cameraman and presenter, a skilled ornithologist, and the winner of the 2022 season of Strictly Come Dancing.
Born in Sudan, Hamza moved to the UK at a young age. He holds a degree in Zoology with Conservation from Bangor University and a Master’s degree in Biological Photography and Imaging from the University of Nottingham.
Hamza made his television debut on the CBeebies show Let’s Go for a Walk, where he played Ranger Hamza. He has since appeared on programs such as The One Show, Countryfile, and Animal Park.
He has also presented his own documentaries for the BBC and Channel 4. His latest BBC documentary, Hamza’s Hidden Wild Isles, is set to be broadcast in 2025.
