Harrison Young is an American-born, Harvard-educated author with over thirty years of experience in investment banking. His career has taken him across twenty countries, and he has advised twelve foreign governments.
Previously, he served as the CEO of China’s first international investment bank, a Director of the Bank of England, Managing Director of Morgan Stanley Asia, and Chairman of Morgan Stanley Australia. Since 2007, he has been a Director of the Commonwealth Bank of Australia.
Beyond his professional achievements, Harrison is a passionate collector of Australian artwork and paintings, favoring representational pieces. He is also known for hosting engaging and lively dinner parties and is a staunch supporter of the Geelong football club.
