About The Author

Helena Fox

Helena Fox is an author, poet, and creative writing mentor living on Dharawal Country in Wollongong, Australia.

Her debut novel, How It Feels to Float, won the Prime Minister’s Literary Award and Victorian Premier’s Literary Award for Writing for Young Adults in 2020. Her second novel, The Quiet and the Loud, won the NSW Literary Awards Ethel Turner Prize in 2024.

Helena’s short stories and poetry appear in literary journals, anthologies, and online. She received her MFA in Creative Writing from Warren Wilson College (USA).
