About The Author

Humza Khan

Humza Khan is an accredited psychotherapist (BABCP) who works within primary adult care mental health in the NHS. He graduated from King’s College London University and Royal Holloway University, specialising in cognitive behavioural psychology and delivering evidence-based treatment.

He also works as a teacher and guest lecturer at renowned institutions across the UK, such as University College London and the University of Exeter. Humza has a strong interest in mental health and extensive experience working with a broad range of presentations and difficulties, including depression and anxiety-based disorders.

He is passionate about using an integrated framework that incorporates third-wave approaches like Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Mindfulness, alongside the application of faith. Humza was born in London to Pakistani parents, as a second-generation migrant.
