About The Author
Hussain Manawer
Hussain Manawer is a globally acclaimed Poet, Mental Health Advocate and Producer born in Newham and raised in Ilford, Essex. Known as ‘The Original Mummy’s Boy’, Hussain draws inspiration from personal experiences and grief following his mother’s sudden loss. He is sought after by dignitaries, major brands, and broadcasters to address global mental health struggles. His commissions and collaborations include The Royal Family, The BAFTAs, The FA, Global Citizen, One Young World, Burberry, Anthony Joshua, Marcus Rashford, Tyson Fury, England FC, Peaky Blinders, Soccer Aid For UNICEF, and Apple TV+, among others.
He appeared in the mental health docu-series, ‘The Me You Can’t See’, alongside Prince Harry and Oprah Winfrey, as well as Lady Gaga and Glen Close. Hussain’s poetry is also featured on the Archewell Audio Podcast Christmas Special with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. He created the ‘Mental Health Minute’ for The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, broadcast on all radio stations with a lineup including David Beckham, Joanna Lumley, Shirley Bassey, Jessie Lingard, Jamie Oliver, Anne Marie, and Charles Dance.
