Jack Davis
Jack Davis (1924-2016)
Born in Atlanta, Georgia, Jack Davis was a founding cartoonist of MAD magazine and one of the most in-demand caricaturists and cartoonists globally throughout his 60-plus-year career. He was inducted into the Will Eisner Hall of Fame in 2003.
Wallace Allan Wood (1927-1981)
Wallace Allan Wood is widely regarded as America’s greatest science fiction cartoonist. However, Wood’s versatility extended to all genres, including humor (as a founding cartoonist of MAD), crime, superheroes, romance, and war. He was also a pioneering figure in alternative/underground comics as the publisher of his magazine witzend. Wood was inducted into the Will Eisner Award Hall of Fame in 1992.
