Jeff Krasno
Jeff Krasno is the co-founder and CEO of Commune, an online course platform dedicated to personal and societal well-being. He also hosts the Commune podcast, featuring interviews with a diverse range of health experts and luminaries. Jeff’s weekly “Commusings” essays, exploring spirituality, wellness, and culture, reach over a million subscribers.
He is the creator of GOOD STRESS, a collection of wellness protocols developed to reverse his own diabetes and significant weight loss. His book, Good Stress: The Health Benefits of Doing Hard Things, was released on March 25, 2025.
With his wife, Schuyler Grant, Jeff co-owns and operates Commune Topanga, a 10-acre wellness center and production lab hosting retreats, yoga, cold plunging, sauna bathing, lectures, and storytelling.
Jeff attended The Hotchkiss School and received his B.A. from Columbia University in 1993. In 2008, he co-created the concept for Wanderlust, a successful series of large-scale events blending yoga, wellness, and the arts, which became a globally recognized wellness brand. He served as co-CEO for eight years.
He is a board member of Pure Edge, a non-profit focused on integrating yoga and mindfulness into public schools. Jeff has contributed to publications like the Huffington Post and Fast Company. His first book, Wanderlust, debuted in May 2015 and has sold over 50,000 copies worldwide. He also curated the cookbook, Find Your True Fork. In 2016, Oprah Winfrey recognized him as part of the SuperSoul100 for his entrepreneurial contributions.
Jeff and Schuyler live in Los Angeles with their three daughters, Phoebe, Lolli, and Micah.
Schuyler Grant
Schuyler Grant is the founder and co-director of Kula Yoga Project in NYC, the co-creator of Wanderlust, and co-owner/director of the Commune Topanga retreat center. She developed Kula Flow, a distinctive alignment-based vinyasa style, and has led advanced teacher trainings for over two decades, shaping numerous yoga professionals globally. She also contributed to the creation of 200- and 300-hour trainings for Kula and Wanderlust. Schuyler regularly contributes to the Commune platform with courses on asana and breathwork, including her highly regarded “Empowered Birth” course supporting women through pregnancy, delivery, and postpartum.
Schuyler opened the first Kula Yoga Project near Ground Zero in 2002, aiming to foster community in Lower Manhattan. Kula continues to thrive in SoHo and Williamsburg, Brooklyn. She currently resides in Los Angeles with her husband, Jeff Krasno, their three daughters, and four chickens. Schuyler leads retreats and trainings, and expresses joy in her continued passion for vinyasa yoga and her long-standing relationship.
