Jennifer Ward
Jennifer spent her childhood exploring nature and writing stories, initially for herself and later for her parents. As an adult, she continued to immerse herself in nature, becoming a teacher before transitioning to writing full-time for children. She is the author of several popular children’s books.
Jamichael Henterly, initially an Army paratrooper, infantry medic, firefighter, and Forest Service fire lookout, never planned to be a book illustrator. Although he aspired to be a scientist, his love for drawing led him to a career in illustration. Jamichael emphasizes research in his work, believing that artistic drawing enhances scientific observation, and vice versa. He aims to capture the beauty and wonder of nature in his illustrations. He lives along a wild river near Deming, Washington.
