Critics Review

A valuable discussion starter for many classrooms. * Read Plus *In this hilarious guide, John Larkin relates his tried and tested advice for navigating the mysteries of life, with a sprinkling of some facts and history he’s discovered on the way. Accompanied by entertaining comic-style illustrations from Chrissie Krebs, this is an education not to be missed! * Magpies *John Larkin is a multi-award winning children’s author and a very funny man as well. This guide to life, statistical wonderland, mish-mash of jokes and knowledge, or possibly half-mad suite of meditations, is a book that smart kids will relish, and kids with some inkling that the world is a weirdly wonderful place will love as well…There is a lot to like here and even more to laugh about. * Reading Time *A book for kids who like their facts with accurate information and wacky stories… Highly recommended. * The Sunday Telegraph *This is a delightful and very funny graphic novel for readers aged 8-12. * Trevor Cairney *
