Johny Pitts
Johny Pitts is a writer, photographer, and broadcaster celebrated for his exploration of African-European identities. He is the curator of the European Network Against Racism (ENAR) award-winning website, Afropean.com, and the author of the acclaimed book, Afropean: Notes from Black Europe.
Currently, Pitts co-hosts the literature program Open Book for BBC Radio 4. As a National Geographic Explorer, he is also the creator of a forthcoming Afropean podcast, funded by the National Geographic Society.
His significant contributions have been recognized with prestigious accolades, including the Jhalak Prize, the Bread & Roses Award for Radical Publishing, the Leipzig Book Award for European Understanding, and the European Essay Prize.
