Critics Review

A brilliant, exhilarating read: a thought experiment packed with mystery, twists, humour and feeling: Turn of the Screw meets Rebecca meets Never Let Me Go * Jo Harkin *
A thought-provoking examination of our human precarity in the form of a page-turner, Miss Archer is tender, chilling, propulsive and told with near-prophetic insight * Julia May Jonas, author of Vladimir *
Witty and imaginative, Miss Archer got all of my neurons firing … A debut novel that is equal parts entertainment and invention * Charles Yu, National Book Award-winning author of Interior Chinatown and How to Live Safely in a Science Fictional Universe *
A Gothic novel with a flourish of the speculative … a tale so gripping it’s hard to believe this is a debut * Rumaan Alam, author of Leave the World Behind *
Gothic drama meets a dystopian thriller with jaw-dropping twists … as wise as it is addictive * Maria Semple, author of Go Gentle *
Completely addictive - I found myself reaching for it every moment I could and thinking about it when I wasn’t reading. Beautifully written and conceived, Miss Archer has a wonderfully lingering impact * Jennie Godfrey, author of The List of Suspicious Things *
