Critics Review
“Jordan and Daniel have created one of the best sci-fi comics in recent years, it’s like Morrison, Cronenberg and Moebius have come together in an entity with its own personality. I hope to continue enjoying this series for a long time!”–Jorge Fornes (Batman, Rorschach, Danger Street)
“Skin Police is the kind of science fiction I love. High concept but gritty. It bears the hallmark of all great science fiction–a world that feels fantastic, but utterly believable.” –Mark Russell (Not All Robots, Superman: Space Age, Batman: Dark Age)
“Skin Police is Thomas and Gete firing on all glorious, post apocalyptic cylinders. Forget World Building, this is all out World Destroying, and every page is a molotov hurled at the reader.” –Cian Tormey (Alan Scott: The Green Lantern, Son of Superman, The Question
“Crafted with exquisite detail, Skin Police is rich in substance and style. A sharp sci-fi metaphor of our troubled times.” –André Lima Araújo (A Righteous Thirst For Vengeance, Phenomena)&
“Full of good art and good ideas, it’s faint praise to say this is the best book I’ve ever read about psychotic clones, but I defy anyone to make a better one.” –John Allison (Giant Days, Great British Bump-Off)
“Great read! Skin Police would fit right in during the golden age of 200AD. Smart, stylish, subversive and intense. This one is going on my pull list.”–Phil Hester (Green Arrow, Swamp Thing)
“The Skin Police team have given us everything great comics can do: a dense new world, both real and fantastic, beautiful and ugly, with the perfect mix of entertaining and terrifying, all rendered very skillfully.” –Josh Flanagan (iFanboy Comic Book Podcast)
“The future as presaged by Skin Police - a police procedural involving genetically altered killers and government coverups - may be ugly. But the series, both the twisty storyline by writer Jordan Thomas and the art by rising star Daniel Gete and colorist Jason Wordie, is God damn beautiful.”
–Ethan Sacks (Star Wars: Bounty Hunters, Old Man Hawkeye)
“Skin Police immediately pulls you in with its unique and intriguing premise… The tale has the vibe of an amazing episode of one of my favorite tv series, The X-Files, delivering a thrilling mix of suspense and mystery. Daniel Gete’s gritty artwork complements Jordan Thomas’ script perfectly, setting a dark tone for the series… Skin Police is a fantastic horror sci-fi series that had me hooked from the opening panel… Thomas’ writing and Gete’s artwork are the ingredients needed to create a fun comic and I am eagerly awaiting more from these creators.”– “Capes and Tights”
