About The Author

Joshua Berman

Joshua Berman has been hiking since before he can remember, both casually and professionally. He’s hiked as an Outward Bound Wilderness Instructor, a US Forest Service Biologist, and as a wild land firefighter with the National Park Service.

Joshua has been exploring Colorado for decades. He writes a monthly column for The Denver Post called “Around Colorado.” He is also a “Local Expert.” These days, Joshua hikes mostly as a dad just trying to get his kids on the trail.
