Critics Review
‘Ink-redible! It’s like a Pixar film on the page.’ –JASON PAMMENT, award-winning author of Treasure in the Lake and Ember
‘A strangely compelling reading experience with a filmic style and energy. An excellent, wildly entertaining read for ages 9+.’ –READINGS
‘A hilarious reflection on the multiple ways you can feel like a fish out of water… Puns, misunderstandings and masterful visual gags lighten the family and friendship problems that run through the narrative to a satisfying resolution.’ –CBCA NOTABLES JUDGES REPORT
‘A wonderful, humorous Australian graphic novel that is all about friendship, finding solutions to your problems and having a go!’ –LAMONT BOOKS
‘A dynamic work, shortlisted because the atmospheric colour, styling and detail within the visual elements provide such a natural background rhythm to thoughtful prose and imaginative presentation of themes. Its warm-hearted recognition of the dilemmas faced by those with creative, neurodivergent or financial anxieties will provide fresh pathways for conversations, reflection and growth.’ –CBCA SHORTLIST JUDGES REPORT
