About The Author

Kate Hoefler

Kate Hoefler is the author of several picture books, including In the Dark, The Couch in the Yard, Nothing in Common, Great Big Things, Rabbit and the Motorbike, and Real Cowboys, which received two starred reviews and was a School Library Journal Best Book of the Year. Kate received her MFA in poetry from the University of Michigan, where she was a Colby Fellow. She lives in Ohio with her family.

Audrey Day tells stories with whimsical shapes and playful characters. A recent graduate from the Cambridge School of Art Children’s Book MA, her art has received accolades from Society of Illustrators, iJungle, Creative Quarterly, and Communication Arts. Audrey usually leaves the house with a sketchbook in hand, drawing the people at church, on the bus, or in the streets. Her art is inspired by these everyday moments, as well as the warmth of childhood nostalgia. She lives in Utah with her family.
