Kate Scarlata
Kate Scarlata MPH, RDN is a New York Times bestselling co-author of The 21-Day Tummy Diet, co-author of The Low FODMAP Diet Step by Step, and author of The Complete Idiot’s Guide to Eating Well with IBS. A globally recognized gastroenterology specialized registered dietitian, Kate has spent more than 30 years helping people improve their digestive health through practical, evidence-based nutrition.
Kate is a sought-after speaker, peer-reviewed author, and registered dietitian recognized for advancing evidence-based digestive health nutrition and championing patient-centered care. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Simmons College, completed her dietetic internship at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, a teaching affiliate of Harvard Medical School, and received her Master of Public Health from the University of Massachusetts. Outside of her clinical work, writing, podcasting, and speaking, Kate divides her time between Massachusetts and Maine, where she enjoys exploring nature and spending time by the coast.

Megan Riehl, PsyD, is an internationally recognized gastrointestinal psychologist, Associate Professor of Medicine, and Director of GI Behavioral Health at the University of Michigan. She also serves as Senior Advisor for GI Psychology, a virtual group practice dedicated to gastrointestinal behavioral health. A leading expert in gastropsychology, Dr. Riehl specializes in helping individuals manage disorders of gut-brain interaction, including irritable bowel syndrome, as well as chronic gastrointestinal conditions that affect quality of life.
Through her clinical practice, research, teaching, and advocacy, Dr. Riehl has helped advance the integration of behavioral health into digestive healthcare. She serves in leadership roles with national and international organizations focused on improving care for individuals with gastrointestinal disorders and is a Trustee of the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation National Board.
