Kim-Joy
Kim-Joy is the bestselling author of four cookbooks: Baking with Kim-Joy, Celebrate with Kim-Joy, Christmas with Kim-Joy, and the most recent, Bake Me a Cat. She is also the creator of the card game Kim-Joy’s Magic Bakery.
Kim-Joy rose to fame as a finalist on the Great British Bake Off in 2018, where her unique and intricate baked creations captured the nation’s hearts. Her iced woodland creatures, space turtles, and beautifully decorated cakes, combined with her calm demeanor and vibrant positivity, brought smiles to many faces and have earned her a global following.
With a Master’s degree (distinction) in Psychology and previous experience as a qualified Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner and in various mental health roles, Kim-Joy now dedicates her time to creating bakes and recipes that bring joy to others. She openly shares her own mental health experiences and advocates for better mental health awareness. Kim-Joy also supports various charities and is an ambassador for The Wren Bakery, a Leeds-based charity that empowers disadvantaged women through baking skills.
Born in Belgium to a Malaysian-Chinese mother and an English father, Kim-Joy grew up in Belgium and greater London. She studied in Bristol and Leeds and currently resides in Leeds with her partner, Nabil, and their cats, Inki and Mochi.
Alti Firmansyah is a professional artist who has been working in the comic industry since 2012. Her first published work was Titan Comics’ Tomorrowland. She has also appeared in Heavy Metal Magazine - Maximum Force. Her debut with Marvel was in 2015 with Star-Lord and Kitty Pryde.
Alti co-created the Comixology Originals series Goliath Girls with Sam Humphries. Her other works include X-Men ‘92, Thor vs. Hulk, Gwenpool, Spider-Gwen, The Unstoppable Wasp, Fearless, and Marvel Voices: IDENTITY (2021).
