Len Kaminski
Mark Gruenwald (1953-1996) was a pivotal writer and editor at Marvel. He is celebrated for his pioneering work on the Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe and his acclaimed Squadron Supreme. Gruenwald also penned over a hundred issues of Captain America, multiple Marvel Two-in-One sagas, and several miniseries, including Contest of Champions, Marvel’s first multi-hero saga. He delved into the Marvel Universe’s ancient history through a series of What If? backup stories which he also illustrated.
Glenn Herdling began his career as an assistant editor on Amazing Spider-Man in 1987, contributing to the title’s record-breaking success. He was later promoted to editorial director of Marvel’s custom-publishing division, where he designed the company’s first comic-book-style annual reports. His writing career launched with Namor.
Comics historian Peter Sanderson’s extensive research was crucial for both the Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe and Who’s Who in the DC Universe. In addition to chronicling Marvel’s history in Marvel Saga, Sanderson has authored several books on the subject, including Marvel Universe and The Marvel Encyclopedia.
Keith Pollard simultaneously illustrated long-running titles such as Amazing Spider-Man, Fantastic Four, and Thor, including Roy Thomas and Mark Gruenwald’s “Eternals Saga.” In the 1990s, he single-handedly drew hundreds of characters for the Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe: Master Edition.
