About The Author
Lily Uivel
Lily received her Bachelor of Fine Arts and worked as a props maker and designer. However, her lifelong passion was drawing, and she spent all her spare time sketching and studying illustration.
When COVID-19 arrived, Lily and her partner, Rory Stewart, left London for their home in New Zealand. During their time at home, Lily decided to pursue freelance illustration. She has since illustrated several picture books, including The Wintrish Girl by Melanie La’Brooy and Celia Seagull and the Plastic Sea by Nicole Miller. This is the first picture book she has both written and illustrated.
Lily lives in Days Bay with her partner Rory, their son Reed, and her assistant, She-Ra the dog.
