Marc Linster

Vibhor Kumar is the Global VP at EDB, a leading figure in data technology. He oversees a global team of engineers focused on optimizing client Postgres databases for maximum performance and scalability. Vibhor advises Fortune 500 companies, including many in the financial sector, on innovating and transforming their data platforms. His prior experience includes roles at IBM, BMC Software, and CMC Ltd. He earned a BSc in Computer Science from the University of Lucknow and a Master’s from the Army Institute of Management. Vibhor is a certified expert in various technologies and frequently shares his knowledge on DevOps, cloud, and database optimization through blogs and conference presentations.

Marc Linster holds a Ph.D. from the University of Kaiserslautern. He was formerly the CTO and Chief Customer Officer at EnterpriseDB (EDB), a significant contributor to Postgres. At EDB, Marc was instrumental in helping large enterprises leverage the full potential of Postgres. He led EDB’s product development and services teams for many years, assisting customers in deploying Postgres at scale and driving innovation. For the past thirteen years, he has worked with Fortune 500 companies to migrate their systems from proprietary software to open-source Postgres.
